Goal: Implement a robust browser + server-side tracking system for Pinterest Ads to ensure accurate conversion tracking, better optimization, and GDPR/CCPA compliance.

The client—a growing DTC eCommerce brand—was relying solely on the Pinterest Tag for conversion tracking. As a result, they faced data loss from browser restrictions and inaccurate conversion reporting, especially from iOS traffic.

To solve this, we implemented a dual-channel tracking solution using Google Tag Manager (Web + Server), hosted on Stape.io. Key events such as page_visit, view_category, add_to_cart, checkout, and purchase were configured to fire both via the browser pixel and the Pinterest Conversion API (CAPI).this setup restored lost attribution, improved data reliability, and strengthened Pinterest’s bidding algorithm—driving better campaign performance across devices and platforms.
